For the record? I’ve tapped out of the superhero movies and TV shows genre a few short years ago minus an occasional Deadpool x Wolverine flick but holy smokes - did I get out at the right time. But could Superman be the hit to bring the genre back to undeniable dominance?

Well, let’s just say one of the random folks I keep tabs on - The Critical Drinker - doesn’t hold back on delivering over 10 minutes of analyzation. Geek out over the signature feedback on one of the biggest opening weekend movies of the year.

After all the speculation, rumours and controversy, James Gunn's Superman is finally upon us. But was it worth the wait? Will it vindicate James Gunn, resurrect the DCU and save superhero movies? Let's find out.
