I have to admit - this is pretty insane. The iconic and mighty Warriors coming back into existence with a massive Broadway musical planned out? Oh my goodness.
How about finding out the legend himself Lin-Manuel Miranda is involved, too? My goodness.
Twelve years after revolutionizing theater, Lin-Manuel Miranda returns to Broadway in a collaboration with Pulitzer Prize finalist Eisa Davis. Together they have created Warriors — a boundary-pushing adrenaline shot of a musical that tells a story of loyalty, friendship, a search for peace, strength, and survival over one tumultuous night in New York. It’s the heart of the city…the soul of a community…and the sound of something being born.
Based on the Paramount Pictures motion picture directed by Walter Hill and the book by Sol Yurick, Warriors is directed by Jenny Koons and co-directed and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler.
