5 Things Iman Nunez Attacks… On New York Knicks Playoffs Game Night

The NBA playoffs are in full swing and if there’s one massive New York Knicks supporter fully tapping in - aside from Spike Lee and Timothée Chalamet - it’s clearly Iman Nunez. The Big Apple’s own dishing on the top five things he attacks on playoffs game night? Say less.

5 Things Iman Nunez Attacks… On NY Knicks Playoffs Game Night

It’s clear - win or go home. But when every game is adrenaline-pumping and you know you were one game away from an NBA Finals appearance last year? Well - Iman Nunez knows how much it means to show blue and orange how much he’s riding with them. The Yonkers native needing popcorn and a beverage? Silence? Prayers? It’s all in the top five - tap in.

1. The Watch Party

Number one - It’s the setting. If it’s a home game and I’m not at the Garden, we need a big screen and we need a good vibe in here. If it is an away game, we’re at the Garden. They do the watch parties at the Garden. That’s why I’m saying the setting.

I’m at the Garden if it’s away games. 100 percent.

The watch party is crazy. I always suggest to people, if you do get a chance to go, the tickets go very fast. But if you get a chance to be in the Garden, you still feel that electricity. It feels like the game is being played there. They play it on the Jumbotron and the whole arena is filled.

Everybody is with the incredible vibes and all that. I was there, I think we won a series last year and I was there for that and you just see everybody screaming and outside like if it was a home game or something like that, having all these side talk moments and all that. It’s great vibes. That’s my favorite place to watch games for sure.

2. The Fit

Number two - I need the attire. I got my Knicks socks. I got my shirts and all that stuff. I got the towels and all that. We’re here. We’ve gotta make sure the attire is right.

When the watch parties be happening, I pull up - I have my Knicks hat with me, I have my towel on me at all times, I’ve got my man’s T-Mark - he made this specific Knicks shirt that’s crazy. It shows all the new legends and on the back all the OGs and stuff. It’s insane. I be pulling up in that.

I’ve got my Knicks socks and I just need to feel right. I be pulling up with that.

In the crib, it’s usually just, I probably got a towel on my head. I just stay comfy in the crib. I make sure I’m good. It’s always a cardiac Knicks event. It’s not like we got this easy. It’s always something like even this [series] being 2-2, it should not be 2-2. This [Atlanta Hawks] team is not better than us.

We won the first one. We lost two in a row by one. And then the last one, you smoke them. So, yeah.

3. The Grub

Number three - I need popcorn. Popcorn and water. I have an obsession with popcorn since I was young. But that also reminds me of stadium food. I’ve got a popcorn machine in my house. So I need my good popcorn.

We go movie theater style. The way I do it - I go to the movies a lot and one of the things when I was young, I always loved popcorn. So with me, I learned how to make movie theater popcorn. You need this thing called Flavacol. It’s like a yellow salt type of thing and you can order it from Amazon - that’s what they use to give it that actual feel.

And then you gotta throw the coconut oil inside so it can pop - that’s the oil they’re using. I go with those two.

4. Silence is Golden

Number four - I need everyone to stop talking to me. I don’t like to be told things to do or other tasks or anything like that. I’m strictly focused on this.

I’m locked into the game and stuff. It’s like being in the movie theater and somebody is using their phone, like, that don’t make sense to me. I’m completely locked in and if I’m watching it at home, don’t ask me to do nothing. You could have asked me before, you could ask me after - at halftime. But at this moment? Don’t bother - I’m locked in right now.

5. Prayers Up

Number five - We need a prayer. That’s really it. We need a prayer to keep the good vibes and all that stuff and to bless the game and hopefully we come out with a dub.

We’re doing it right before tip-off. We just blessing the situation.
