While West Coast hip-hop is often reduced to a narrow set of sounds and styles, the reality of California rap has always been far more expansive.  Nowhere is that more evident than in Los Angeles, where the iconic G-Funk legacy exists alongside a thriving independent scene that continues to push hip-hop in new directions.  Acclaimed rapper Blu has spent his impressive career bridging these worlds, and his new album LA embodies that artistic identity.  Available today at all digital outlets, the collection is entirely produced by Sndtrak, a 9th Wonder affiliate known for his work with Rapsody, Larry June, and Smif-N-Wessun.  The talented Oakland producer provides the ideal backdrop for Blu's sharp writing and grounded storytelling, reimagining vintage West Coast grooves through a fresh lens.  Featuring Volume 10, Thurz, MED, Trizz, ICECOLDBISHOP, Iman Omari, Like of Pac Div, Propaganda, DJ Revolution, and more, LA highlights the creative evolution in one of hip-hop's most vital cities.  The album is now streaming and also available on limited-edition colored vinyl.
