BLXST: West Coast’s own is back-back with a confident and uplifting Right Back drop
The vibes are always positive around these parts but something about getting BLXST to come through with the visual treatment to his ‘Right Back’ audio gem? Tough.
BLXST delivers with a heartfelt and super confident Right Back music video
Fresh from putting out his Labor of Love heading into the summer, Big B steps right back up with the visual treatment to his standout tune.
Grammy-nominated artist BLXST returns with a music video for “Right Back,” the second track from his latest album, Labor of Love, out now via EMPIRE and International BLXST. Since its June 12 release, Labor of Love has collectively amassed more than 43 million global streams, marking BLXST’s return to music following a two-year break with a deeply personal new album.
Directed by TaJonn Nickelson, the “Right Back” music video follows BLXST through a packed press run across Long Beach, New York and Atlanta, with stops including interviews, CD signings, meet and greets, radio appearances and more. Interspersed with moments from the road, the video captures BLXST in motion as he reconnects with the culture, his audience and the work that first inspired him to make music.
After taking time to focus on his craft and creative foundation, BLXST built Labor of Love entirely on his own terms. “Right Back” encapsulates that mindset: rather than dwelling on what was lost, he chooses to reset, refocus and move forward.
The 13-track album is entirely self-written and produced by BLXST and features Sasha Keable, Cheyenne Wright, Oakland poet Love Rich TT and Big Sad 1900. Rooted in themes of love, perseverance, fatherhood and growth, Labor of Love offers an intimate look at BLXST’s evolution both as an artist and as a person.
Labor of Love is available on all major streaming platforms. Stream it HERE.
