Chick-A-Boom: Fat Joe and Jim Jones team up to launch 'The Torch List' contest

Summer is on deck and who doesn’t love a little competition, right? Turns out New York rap veterans Jim Jones and Fat Joe are staying busy linking up with Chick-A-Boom to kick-off a new music performance competition in ‘The Torch List.’

Joey Crack and Jimmy are helping push the culture forward by linking up with Chick-A-Boom for music newcomers to get a chance to showcase themselves and their talent.

With a number of figures in today's time calling for crossover between markets in the hip-hop, entertainment, food and beverage industry, the successful powerhouse Chick-A-Boom is paving their way in the music space making a big introduction with their latest venture “The Torch List.” This brand new performance competition will allow aspiring recording artists to enter the competition starting today by uploading their best track to the website for a chance to win and be flown out for an opening performance slot for Fat Joe and Jim Jones at the SLS Hotel in South Beach, Miami on Memorial Day weekend.

"We are reverse engineering the way contests and live performances are done," said Chick-A-Boom Founder and CEO Brittany Tolliferreo. "We are proud to be industry changers and give the public a shot at being a star."

Chick-A-Boom, the fast-casual restaurant concept with an entertainment spin, will receive submissions now through May 23 where the winner will be announced. The winner of the contest will have the chance to perform on stage with hip-hop legends Fat Joe and Jim Jones, as well as be seen by music executives and a live audience of 900 people. The contest works similarly to American Idol. Artists pay a small entry fee and the public chooses the best song. The winner will be flown from their home city to Miami to perform at the SLS/Hyde Beach, one of the hottest clubs in Miami on Memorial Day weekend. Chick-A-Boom is also giving away a trip for two to one lucky customer to sit in the VIP area and be their very special guest for the entire event.

This contest is like no other - it gives the public a chance to be a star and be seen by music executives, and is not manipulated by robots but rather the people's choice.

Chick-A-Boom Presents, who also has an A&R division, will be on-site cooking up their world-famous fried chicken, sliders, waffles, and Chick Boom juice providing a true franchise experience.
