Fridayy: Unexpected fire for a Friday? The ‘Everybody Got Somebody’ EP is here

It’s only right hitmaker Fridayy puts out hits heading into Friday, right? Turns out the unexpected rollout of his Everybody Got Somebody project is hitting more than right with the weekend goals on deck.

Fridayy delivers with his ‘Everybody Got Somebody’ album

Not quite a single. Definitely not a studio album. It’s a solid EP worthy of repeat plays and long drives. Peep the deets.

Today, 4x GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer Fridayy releases a surprise new EP, Everybody Got Somebody, available now on all digital streaming platforms via Def Jam Recordings.

Arriving in the heart of cuffing season, the six-track project expands Fridayy’s reputation for emotionally rich, genre-blending R&B. Anchored by the riveting single Below Zero,” the EP delves into the intricacies of modern love, its warmth, its volatility, and its inevitable complexity. Fridayy’s signature velvety vocals glide across themes of loyalty, longing, and vulnerability, capturing both the beautiful and unsettling sides of romance.

A standout moment emerges with “Death Do Us Part,” featuring acclaimed R&B artist Mariah The Scientist. The two navigate the gray areas of devotion and desire, layering delicate harmonies and raw lyricism into one of Fridayy’s most affecting tracks to date.

Everybody Got Somebody follows Fridayy’s recent GRAMMY nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance for his hit single “Proud of Me” featuring Meek Mill. This nomination fuels the momentum of a breakout year marked by boundary-pushing artistry and continued critical acclaim.

Everybody Got Somebody is available now on all streaming platforms.
