Glizzy Glow & YKNIECE: The duo completely dominate with the sizzling fire ‘Cutwater’ remix music video

I have watched the ‘Cutwater’ remix music video at least three times in a row. My damn. It’s all eyes on baddie Glizzly Glow alongside flexer YKNIECE on their insanely hard-hitting tune and music video. Summertime is officially theirs.

Glizzy Glow and YKNIECE just took over with their ‘Cutwater’ remix

My new favorite tune of the pre-summer and summer? You better believe it. This anthem goes hard and is getting daily - if not hourly - plays. Fully tap in.

South Side Chicago rapper Glizzy Glow joins forces with Atlanta’s own YKNIECE for the official remix of her viral breakout hit, “CUTWATER,” available now via Geffen Records alongside a brand-new music video. Listen and watch HERE.

Originally released last summer, “CUTWATER” quickly became a fan favorite, amassing more than 2.7 million YouTube views while cementing Glizzy Glow as one of rap’s most exciting new voices. Now, with YKNIECE joining the track, the remix breathes new life into the record as she brings her commanding presence and signature Southern swagger to the infectious anthem.

Directed by Whipalo, the music video captures the undeniable chemistry between Glizzy Glow and YKNIECE as they trade playful bars and larger-than-life energy, elevating the fan-favorite record to new heights. YKNIECE’s appearance adds another powerful layer to a collaboration that feels destined to soundtrack the summer.

While gearing up for her upcoming project, Trench Baddie Vol. 1, she effortlessly continues to prove herself a born wordsmith, transforming her early love of rap writing and freestyling into a growing music career rooted in authenticity and raw energy.

Glizzy Glow has shifted into overdrive over the past few months, launching the extensive CUTWATER TOUR, dropping the beaming YB Anthem,” and teasing new music to her passionate followers on TikTok and Instagram. She also recently sat down for an in-depth interview with Off the Porch, where she spoke on her path so far and vision for the future.

More on Glizzy Glow:

As anyone from Chicago will tell you, Glizzy Glow is the It Girl hip-hop has been desperately missing. She’s long had regional motion, previously as a successful salon owner, hair model, and all-around hustler. But over the past few years, the 29-year-old rapper’s been pouring her clout, artistry, charisma, and drive into the career she was clearly meant to have. Because with Glizzy, you might come for the super sticky hooks (“CUTWATER,” anyone?), but you’ll stay for the A1 bars as she roasts rivals, boasts gloriously, and weaves in her striver’s story throughout. And to think, she only started rapping when her friends and cousins pressured her into spitting bars during a casual home freestyle session in 2019. That became her Soulja Boy “Shootout” remix, which went viral in Chicago the same year. By 2023, after doing her research, she was a one-woman business — booking shows, self-releasing music, and eventually conceptualizing the concepts for her buzzing videos, which somehow feel both off-the-cuff and carefully plotted. Now, as she confidently takes her place on the Interscope Records roster, her new music feeds the most electrifying rap from the ’00s and ’10s (read: crunk, trap) into an ambitious expansion of modern strains like Chicago footwork, Jersey Club, and sexy drill. The songs brim with her bossed-up energy, relentless quest for success, and history coming up on 59th and Hermitage in West Englewood. Now you know Glizzy Glow — get ready to meet the Trench Baddie.

More on YKNIECE

American rapper YKNiece, born Shanice Cameron, is an Atlanta artist raised on the city’s Westside whose breakout came fast enough to make a five-year plan look like decorative paperwork. Before music became her lane, she studied nursing at Columbus State University, worked jobs including package handling for Pepsi, and was better known for her personality than for chasing a rap career. That changed with “WHIM WHAMIEE,” her 2025 collaboration with Pluto, where her ad-libs, sharp delivery, and raw Atlanta charisma helped turn the record into a viral hit and a Billboard Hot 100 success, peaking at No. 51. From there, YKNiece quickly became one of 2025’s most recognizable new voices in Southern rap, contributing standout verses to records with Metro Boomin, Quavo, Breskii, BunnaB, Belly Gang Kushington, and others, while Billboard ranked her No. 4 on its 10 Hottest Female Rappers of 2025 staff list.

Since then, YKNiece has pushed from viral breakout into major-industry territory, landing high-profile 2026 collaborations including DaBaby’s “POP DAT THANG (Official Remix)” with GloRilla and Yung Miami, and BossMan Dlow’s “Chicken Talkin Bastard,” the title-track collaboration from his 2026 project. Her rise has also translated into award recognition: she earned a 2026 American Music Awards nomination for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, alongside Cardi B, Doechii, GloRilla, and Sexyy Red, and also received a 2026 BET Awards nomination for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, where BET listed her among nominees including Cardi B, Coi Leray, Doechii, Doja Cat, GloRilla, Latto, Megan Thee Stallion, and Monaleo. With viral records, charting collaborations, major award nominations, and a growing reputation as a feature-killer with solo-star potential, YKNiece is moving from “new Atlanta name to watch” into one of hip-hop’s most exciting emerging women.
