Hurricane Wisdom delivers with the ‘Who I Am’ music video

The buzz keeps growing for the rap artist and with the song sparking attention, how about going the cinematic route with the full-fledged visual? Say less.

On the verge of a major mainstream breakthrough, critical and fan favorite Florida rapper and singer Hurricane Wisdom gets in his feelings with an emotionally charged new single and music video entitled “Who I Am” out now via Rebel Music

Rarely does hip-hop cut this deep these days. Hurricane Wisdom washes away raw pain in waves of emotionally charged melody. Produced by Morgan O'Conner, a lithe guitar loop creaks through the beat as he leans into his high register. He turns to the heavens, “All this pain inside my bones, thinking it’s my angel,” and looks back on what brought him here, “I know that shit wasn’t much, but that little shit done made us.” Directed and shot by Killer Jack, the music video mirrors this vibe on screen. He canvases a rundown stretch of his hometown in Havana, FL, rapping to the camera from in front of abandoned homes. Family and friends make cameo appearances, amplifying the meaning at the song’s core and paying tribute to those who matter the most.

“When I was a kid, we went through a lot, but we did it together. I’ve learned family is everything. They always held me down, and I’ve done my best to do the same. This song is just letting you know where I came from and thanking everybody who was there along the way.”
