Jacquees: It’s a summertime cookout celebration in the ‘He Kant’ music video

What’s better than delivering a new music to the masses? How about filming it during a cookout with the family, Jacquees? Oh yes. It’s all about keeping it in the fam with the ‘He Kant’ music video.

Jacquees fully delivers with the ‘He Kant’ music video

The song is super catchy but I’m fully here for the family setting. From barbecue goals to the basketball court dance moves - it’s a summertime gathering you can’t miss.

Jacquees officially released the music video for his latest single, "He Kant," which debuted last week. The multi-platinum R&B sensation co-directed the visually stunning video with BPace, a long-time collaborator who was recently nominated alongside Jacquees for 'Video Director of the Year' at the 2025 BET Awards.

The music video evokes a sense of nostalgia, visually showcasing the warmth of southern hospitality. In it, Jacquees relaxes at a cookout surrounded by family, friends, his leading lady, and special guests such as Donnell Jones, Vedo, Tamika Scott from Xscape, and Sean Garrett.

In “He Kant,” Jacquees embodies charisma, confidence, and romance, showcasing his undeniable talent and ear for hits. His ability to honor those who came before him while carving out his own unique sound is nothing short of impressive and is synonymous with his brand—prasingly. Produced ingeniously by Polow da Don, the track cleverly reimagines “He Can’t Love U” by Jagged Edge, infusing new life into a classic slow jam that will leave listeners craving more.

Straight out of Decatur, Georgia, Jacquees is riding high on the success of his latest solo project, Baby Making [2024], which has claimed the top spot on the iTunes R&B/Soul Album Charts. He also recently wrapped up a tour earlier this year for his joint project with Dej Loaf, titled Friendzone 2 [2025,] as part of the F#*K A FRIEND ZONE Tour.
