Jermaine discusses his early days as a dancer in middle school and how dance competitions helped pave the way for him into the music business. Jermaine continues on to discuss how he made his way up in the business and how he discovered Kris Kross, Lil’ Bow Wow, and Da Brat, why he told Left Eye Lopes and TLC to sign with another label, they way he approached working with Usher on his album ‘My Way’ and the the track “Confessions Pt. 2,” working with Mariah Carey on “Always Be My Baby” and “We Belong Together.” Next, Jermaine discusses his past relationship with Janet Jackson, working with L.A. Reid and how Ray Charles and Quincy Jones led him to his vegan lifestyle. Finally, JD discusses the Magic City documentary that he produced and how the soundtrack based off of the documentary came about.
