Louie Ray and Babyface Ray deliver with ‘Ray Ray’
It’s more than just an audio flex. The duo come through with a hard-hitting ‘Ray Ray’ music video with the gritty appeal from start to finish.
Flint native Louie Ray released the official video for “Ray Ray,” his standout collaboration with Detroit rap mainstay BabyFace Ray, today. Directed by CozyDVD, “Ray Ray” captures both artists in performance mode, trading bars from stairwells, studio booths, and widebody cars on late-night rides, marking a major moment for Midwest rap. Watch “Ray Ray” featuring BabyFace Ray HERE.
The track appears on Louie’s recently released project, Tables Turn, via OneRPM / Still Grinding Entertainment, released June 6th. Recognized as “The Motivator” for his relentless grind, Louie Ray showcases a fully realized vision of triumph over adversity on Tables Turn. The project serves as a bold declaration of Louie’s rise.
The inspiration for the album’s title relates to how things can change in the blink of an eye. That shift is what drives Louie’s new project. From the raw opener “Still Louie Ray” to the reflective closer “Getting Hotter,” the project’s fourteen tracks chronicle Louie’s journey from the streets of Flint to an unshakable position at rap’s forefront. The album’s soundscape—crafted by producers Vibe Dealer, TWFDB, Murda Beats, and SeChange—along with guest appearances from Detroit heavyweight BabyFace Ray (“Ray Ray”), Flint mainstay BabyFxce E (“Bag On His Head”), and Houston’s That Mexican OT (“Big As Hell”), adds further dimension to Louie’s Midwest roots.
Stand-out tracks on Tables Turn include the cinematic “100K,” which captures Louie’s relentless effort to hit six figures; the braggadocious “I Crush ’Em;” and the introspective “2 Blessed,” where Louie gives thanks to those who believed in him. Tables Turn marks a new chapter for Louie as he’s shifting gears creatively. Louie is now exploring more introspective territory and forging a path all his own.
