MotoGP™26: The must-experience motorcycle racing game demands your immediate attention

You know the vibes around here - when it comes to the gaming goals, there’s ample attention placed on sports titles and of course the Call of Duty franchise - but when I tell you, Attackers, this MotoGP™26 title is a must-experience? Holy smokes - I am more than just sold.

The MotoGP™26 video game is a must-play, Attackers

A few days ago, I caught wind of this massive launch and after reaching out to the game’s amazing PR team - A-Boogie - I had the opportunity presented to me to check out this title on the PlayStation 5 Pro.

MIND.

BLOWING.

I already mentioned this in another section but my love for the motorcycle racing titles goes back well before the GTA games like Vice City and San Andreas but how about those arcade games like the actual MotoGP VR Arcade Motorcycle game or even the super vintage SEGA Arcade Storm Rider machines dating back to the early days of Dave & Buster’s? Oh yes.

It’s a Culture ting and something about the adrenaline-rushing of motorcycles over a fancy, decked-out Lamborghini of needing the speed of other decked-out whips - it’s clear - the motorcycle Culture is legendary and the fun, danger vibes of these titles make them super addictive to play.

But first things first - it’s a celebration, right? Let’s properly celebration the rollout of MotoGP™’s latest drop - the 26 title:

Milestone and MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group today announce the release of MotoGP™26, the latest instalment in the official MotoGP videogame franchise. Featuring the full official 2026 season, it combines reworked physics with Dynamic Rider ratings and deeper career management mechanics to deliver a more immersive and authentic gaming experience.

MotoGP™26 refines its physics through a rider-based handling system where control is more closely tied to how players move and position the rider on the bike. Body shifts and weight transfer now have a tangible impact on stability, cornering, and braking, resulting in a more natural and responsive riding experience. Supported by new rider animations, this model significantly changes the overall gameplay feel, offering finer control and a wider range of motion in both Pro and Arcade modes.

But just keeping things a super big buck? I found myself most blown away from the graphics at the start of the experience. The PlayStation 5 Pro quality is one thing but whether you’re a traditional PlayStation gamer or even find yourself more on the Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms - it’s clear this newest release is dedicated to the most modern gaming consoles and the quality proves it.

Throughout the season, Dynamic Rider Ratings offer players a constantly evolving snapshot of the competitive landscape based on real-world performances. For the first time, riders' skills are reflected in a rating card shaped by four key attributes: time attack, racepace, head-to-head, and reliability, providing a clearer understanding of strengths and weaknesses across the grid.

Away from the track, Career mode evolves into a more dynamic and decision-driven experience. A newly designed 3D paddock acts as the central hub of race weekends, where players manage key aspects of their progression. Media interactions now play a more active role, as Thursday’s press conferences give players the chance to actively engage with journalists by establishing goals,  assessing rivalries, and making choices that may affect their reputation and future opportunities. Supporting this journey, a Personal Manager assists in navigating contract negotiations, coordinating relationships with teams and manufacturers, and guiding players through the Transfer Market, possibly changing the course of history. Indeed, addressing a long-time community request, MotoGP™26 also allows fans to take control of real riders from any class and rewrite their career from scratch, starting in Moto3™ and working their way to the top.

I mean, if the above video quality isn’t clearly mind-blowing, you might have to go get your eyes checked because as a gamer more focused on sniping the opps or throwing hail mary passes against Dem Boys - I have become an overnight or - even better - instant motorcycle-gaming Attacker, Attackers.

But how about slowing things down a bit and trying out your double-clicking and extra zooming features? Look at the snapshots of this quality drop here.

In addition to the official competitions, MotoGP™26 expands its Race Off game mode with Canterbury Park, a new UK location that joins Borgo Caselle and Mont Lagard, as well as the introduction of Production Bikes. These single-brand events allow players to train on 1000cc road bikes, bringing together riders from the same manufacturer across the MotoGP™, Moto2™, and Moto3™ categories while adding a new dimension to Motard, Flat Track, and Minibikes, each with its own distinct handling.

Notably, collectable card packs will reward player progression across different modes. By completing events, it will be possible to unlock over 100 cards featuring riders, circuits, and iconic bikes, including exclusive artwork created by renowned Japanese artist Ranka Fujiwara.

Multiplayer has also been expanded, with cross-play* support, improved matchmaking, and full grids of up to 22 players* enhancing online competition. Split-screen mode returns for local racing, while advanced editors allow players to customize helmets, numbers, and liveries, and share** their creations with the community. The most original design will be awarded as part of the new MotoGP™2026 Helmet Design Contest, with the winning entry brought to life and worn by a MotoGP™ rider during an official race weekend.

It’s all about the racing goals right now and while all those super epic non-racing gaming titles aren’t due until late summer and especially once fall arrives - MotoGP™26 has your entire spring and hottest season of them all - a hot baddie summer - locked in and energy-pumping. Game on, Attackers.

MotoGP™26 is now available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch™2, Nintendo Switch™, ROG Xbox Ally, ROG Xbox Ally X, and PC via Steam, Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store.
