Overwatch 2: There’s no bigger flex than this epic NERF skins takeover

It’s no secret - I am a gamer. A proud gamer but sometimes the sports titles can wear you down pretty heavily and is there anything more fun than those huge maps where you’re going at the ops in the best way possible? Hi, Overwatch 2. But more than just a regular gaming session - an epic NERF collaboration delivering some insanely must-try skins you have to see to believe? Say less.

Overwatch 2 x NERF = Endless gaming hours

Is there really any better time to game than the summer? I mean, every season hits different but late summer nights and long summer mornings loaded with ample gaming goals with free to play titles like Overwatch 2 are solid but what gives this Blizzard title the edge over the other games available to load up?

N-E-R-F!!!

Whether you’re an 80’s baby like myself who grew up on the NERF lifestyle going at everything from darts and foam balls to anything in-between to go at your best friends, family members or - sorry - stuffed animals for target practice?

Now fast-forward a few years to 2025 and those childhood memories of mine have come more than just into fruition with the launch of Overwatch 2’s NERF skins collaborations. Holy. Freaking. Smokes.

Pick Your Plastic

Loadouts don’t get much louder or more colorful than this! The Overwatch x NERF collab is packed with blaster-inspired weapon skins styled after some of NERF’s most iconic gear. Cassidy headlines the collab with a Legendary Hero skin that comes with custom visuals, unique sound effects, the NERF Maverick blaster and a Vortex Football to boot.

He’s joined by Tracer’s earnable Gelfire Pros, Genji dual wielding a Slingerang plus Power Blast Bat, and Mei bringing the pressure (literally) with the classic Super Soaker XP100. Additionally, Hanzo’s got a Big Bad Bow, Baptiste runs the Galactic Commander, the newest NERF blaster from the Loadout line, and Soldier: 76’s precision gets the plastic treatment with N Series Pinpoint.

Each NERF weapon skin can be equipped on top of your existing Hero skins—so no matter how you style your fit, your foam is fixin’ to be fully loaded.

Are you more of a traditional shooter? How about something more unique like a bow and arrow flex? Want to live up to the summertime temps with a squirter approach? The possibilities are endless with Overwatch 2 right now.

But don't get gassed - it’s more than just some fire - er - firing options, how about an entire NERF or Nothin’ mode? Want the entire gang-gang to enjoy the fun? First to 20? Peep the deets.

This isn’t your typical showdown. It’s as chaotic and high-energy as a living room grudge match between friends and family with every blaster, bat, or bow you could find in the garage.

NERF or Nothin’ is a fast-paced free-for-all where eight players drop in, and the first to hit 20 eliminations claims the win. You’ll start with a random Hero (minus Mercy and Lifeweaver, who are sitting this one out), and every elimination earns you a new Hero. Some of them will come with a new NERF blaster skin to master in combat. Can’t snag a kill? You’ll still rotate after three deaths. No repeats either: once you’ve played a Hero, you won’t get them again.

Cooldowns? Basically gone. Everyone’s working with 80% cooldown reduction, so the action is constant. Your Ultimate charge sticks around after death, and if you swap Heroes, you’ll start with 15% Ult charge, ready to go.

Who has time to breathe when you’re gaming at high speeds and maps demanding your exploration? Love baguettes - both the bread and type to help you flex brighter? Why not venture out to France? Say less.

The maps? It’s a greatest hits list including Chateau, Petra, Kanezaka, Malevento, King’s Row, Hollywood, Dorado, Eichenwalde, Blizzard World, and even Paris.

Think of it as a weapon mastery trial with a lot more plastic, a lot less time to think, and seriously fun NERF  foamfighting in every direction. Adapt or get blasted.

A few more details before letting you Attackers lose your mind and geek out over the Overwatch 2 x NERF x Attack The Culture takeover today. How about both getting to level up your scores for more rewards and even splurging with various weapon skins with quick equips? Peep the deets.
