New music from Scott with the music platform? Oh yes. But there’s a twist - the tunes are all a part of a new competition for OpenWav members and creators ultimately rewarding a select few the opportunity to work alongside Storch on the EP.
OpenWav, a revolutionary new music platform where artists engage with fans and deliver event ticketing, exclusive merchandise, and digital content experiences, today announces the launch of StorchVerse, a global indie music competition led by Grammy Award–nominated producer Scott Storch, who has worked with some of the biggest names in music including Beyoncé, Dr. Dre, Fat Joe, and Christina Aguilera.
Launching today, the competition offers rising artists across the globe the opportunity to submit original lyrics, gain direct exposure to industry leaders, and engage with new fan communities. The winner will receive $3,000 cash prize and be featured on Storch’s upcoming 4-song EP, which will be released exclusively on OpenWav. Second and third place winners will also be featured, alongside a major artist on the fourth track.
The competition hosted on OpenWav exemplifies how the platform is redefining the landscape for musical talent, providing innovative avenues for monetization and fostering connections with a global audience.

Participation in StorchVerse is designed to be straightforward and accessible. To enter the OpenWav x Scott Storch Competition, artists will begin their journey by downloading OpenWav on the App Store or Google Play, creating a profile, and sharing their verse or song. Storch will evaluate submissions based on creativity, originality, and overall musical composition.
Create Your Track: Record a verse of at least 16 bars and a hook using the exclusive Scott Storch beat (full songs welcome!)
Upload Your Entry: Upload your track — audio or video accepted (video performances recommended to stand out).
Promote to Win: Rally your fans to join your WavRoom (your private fan chat) and support you by liking, commenting, and purchasing your exclusive content or merch. Every action counts as a vote to help you land in the Top 20.
Submissions are open now through September 5. Winners will be announced on September 10.
