Shordie Shordie’s ‘LOVE LOST’ drops next month

Lock in November 21 for the new studio effort. But while you’re waiting, how about geeking out over the new ‘Passaway’ tune? Tap in.

Baltimore-born, 3x RIAA-certified Platinum artist Shordie Shordie is back with the announcement of his highly anticipated upcoming album Love Lost, set to arrive on November 21 via EMPIRE, and debuts the first single and video, “Passaway.

“Passaway” offers a first glimpse into Love Lost, a raw and unflinching exploration of grief, heartbreak, and emotional reckoning. Shordie’s signature melodic flow glides over sparse, luminescent piano keys, navigating love, trust, and vulnerability with unvarnished honesty.

The accompanying video amplifies the song’s emotional impact through a heartbreaking narrative as Shordie arrives at a funeral in a line of black trucks. His grief is intertwined with haunting, fly-on-the-wall visions of a woman in a troubled relationship that tragically ends in her death, blurring the lines between love and loss and capturing the emotional core of the song.

Shordie Shordie first gained attention as the designated hook-man of Peso Da Mafiabefore leaving the group to pursue a solo career, where his melody-first approach helped him stand out. He made history as the first rapper from Baltimore to achievedouble-platinum status, now three time, with his 2018 breakout viral hit “Betchua (Bitchuary).” Since then, he has released critically acclaimed projects including Music, More Than Music Pt. 2, and the collaborative series Memory Lane and Memory Lane 2 with Murda Beatz. Shordie has worked with artists such as Mozzy, Shoreline Mafia, Blxst, and Wiz Khalifa, earning recognition from Pitchfork, Complex, and The Recording Academy. With over 1 billion streams across platforms and standout live performances from Coachella to his sold-out 2025 tour, he has solidified his place as a defining voice for Baltimore while extending his influence across the broader hip-hop landscape.
