SteelSeries, the original esports brand that fuses gaming and culture, today announced a partnership with It Gets Better, a nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe, to send messages of love and support to LGBTQ youth around the globe, to and amplify voices from the LGBTQ gaming community.
This Pride season, SteelSeries is celebrating and waving the Pride colors along with the gaming community through donations, giveaways, and a month of advocacy across its social media, community, and product channels to raise awareness for the need for inclusivity, accessibility, and equality in gaming.
To help fans to show their support and allyship, SteelSeries has created a limited-edition For Pride Collection that includes a limited run of Arctis Nova Booster Packs that include limited-edition Pride Flag-themed speaker plates and a matching headband for its award-winning line of Arctis Nova series headsets, and a custom-designed Pride QcK mousepad that was inspired by the iconic Pride rainbow flag. 100% of the profits from the sales will be donated to the It Gets Better organization to help with their overall mission.
In September 2010, in response to a rash of suicides that claimed the lives of several LGBTQ+ youth, the first It Gets Better video was released on YouTube, urging young LGBTQ+ people to stay true to themselves despite bullying and other challenges of adolescence.
