Turtle Beach: The Atlas 200 is my go-to headset for traveling around the globe with my PlayStation Portal

I am always going to show love and support Turtle Beach until the end of time. From my best friend recently telling me he views the brand as the top tier and superb option for headsets to me losing my mind over all the launches from Victrix Pro controllers to their newly released budget-friendly Atlas 200 gaming headset giving me ample gaming capabilities while traveling with the PlayStation Portal.

Turtle Beach’s PlayStation-friendly Atlas 200 is life-changing

I’ve used the expression of life-changing and game-changing pretty frequently when dishing on all things Turtle Beach but I have to acknowledge - the brand’s new wired headset licensed for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 - not to mention its ability to work with the PlayStation Portal? Holy smokes.

It’s really pretty stunning and while I love using the PlayStation-friednly Stealth headsets by Turtle Beach, the fact of the matter is you’re beyond limited when it comes to the PlayStation Portal. No Bluetooth options available because of the brand’s persistence to keep things PlayStation Link-only which can be irking.

However, getting my hands on the PlayStation-ready Atlas 200 headset for the PlayStation Portal? It’s mind-blowing and comes through in the clutch for me. Some Attackers prefer the wired experience both with their controllers and headsets but I am fully wireless goals as I snack and update the site while in-between gaming sessions. But when it comes to kicking back with the Portal, both hands being needed and my focus required - this Atlas 200 is vitality.

Leading gaming accessories maker Turtle Beach Corporation (Nasdaq: TBCH) today announced the brand’s Turtle Beach® Atlas™ 200wired gaming headset is now available globally. A significant addition to Turtle Beach’s world-class lineup of best-selling, award-winning gaming headsets, the Atlas 200 is Turtle Beach’s first officially licensed headset for PS5® and PS4® consoles, representing a key milestone in the relationship between Sony Interactive Entertainment and one of the world’s biggest gaming accessories brands. The Atlas 200 applies key design cues and engineering innovations from Turtle Beach’s award-winning Atlas Air™the brand’s flagship PC gaming headset, and the Recon 200 wired multiplatform gaming headset, to deliver an unmatched combination of superior game sound, wired compatibility, and the kind of lightweight comfort gamers will want to write home about. More importantly, it does all this for an economical $59.99|£49.99|€59.99 MSRP. The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 is also available in multiplatform and PC-specific models.

Reviewers are already won over. CGMagOnline gave the Atlas 200 a 10/10 review score plus the publication’s Editor’s Choice designation, saying, “Budget gamers and newcomers alike would be well-served choosing the Atlas 200 from Turtle Beach as their daily driver, and at a price of $59.99 USD, one really can’t go wrong,” and, “The Atlas 200 is definitely making the basics sexy again.” PlayStation Universe gave the Atlas 200 an 8.5/10 review score, adding, "The 50mm Nanoclear Drivers are the same sound drivers which feature in Turtle Beach’s Stealth Gen 3 wireless series of headsets, and provides the sort of impactful sound, bass and tone one might expect from a much higher tier of headset," as well as, “the Turtle Beach Atlas 200 headset is an easy recommendation for anybody on the lookout for a quality wired headset to be used with their PS4, PS5 or PS5 Pro console."

The Atlas 200 headset for PS5 and PS4 consoles is available in black or white with a blue floating headband strap showing the PlayStation® logo. The multiplatform Atlas 200 and Atlas 200 PC Edition are available in black with grey accents. The Atlas 200 PC Editioncosts $69.99 MSRP and adds USB connectivity with an included USB audio adapter and a suite of PC-driven features made available via Turtle Beach’s Swarm™ II desktop app for Windows.

“With the Atlas 200, we’ve combined the comfort of our premium wireless Atlas Air headset with the versatility of our Recon 200 model, creating a headset that offers both style and value,” said Cris Keirn, CEO, Turtle Beach Corporation. “Featuring our signature Nanoclear™ 50mm drivers, the Atlas 200 produces amazing game sound, enhanced even further when paired with PS5’s immersive 3D audio.”

From the 3.5 mm jack easily getting inserted to the device to the ultra comfortable memory foam ear cushions and floating headband, it’s ultimate comfort while I clock in time from a hotel room.

And just like the signature PlayStation color options, getting this headset in signature white with grey or black makes this even more signature. Both go for $59.99 and give you ample support - both with the PlayStation/PC but also with your mobile.

The reason I geek out the most over this headset is the lack of needing power and battery charges. There’s nothing worse than being in a hotel room with 30+ gadgets plugged into outlets and realizing your headset needs a charge - quickly or not - it’s just inconvenient.

Well, the wired feature delivers quality 3D AudioTech Support and a lightweight design to the point you really lose yourself in the gaming goals from the PlayStation Portal - or whichever gadget you’re focusing on.

The Turtle Beach Atlas 200 wired gaming headset delivers a premium gaming audio & chat experience on PS5 and PS4 consoles, other gaming systems and Windows, and on mobile devices with a 3.5mm jack. The Atlas 200 has a closed-back earcup design housing Turtle Beach’s legendary 50mm Nanoclear drivers optimized for spatial audio on gaming consoles and PC. Weighing in at approximately 280g, the Atlas 200 is lightweight and great for long gaming sessions and competitive play. The floating headband, memory foam ear cushions, and ProSpecs™ glasses-friendly comfort ensure hours of fatigue-free gameplay. Chat clearly with the unidirectional microphone that conveniently flips up and out of the way to mute when not in use.
