Here's a look at Oscar-winning musician Questlove's 'Summer of Soul' weekend
The Roots’ Questlove had the weekend of a lifetime. The hip-hop icon pulled together an epic outing prior to coming up big with an Academy Award for his Summer of Soul crushing it in the best documentary category.
On Saturday, March 26th Disney’s Onyx Collective hosted a brunch in celebration of Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and Summer of Soul. The Oscar-winning documentary is the first title from Onyx Collective, the new content brand dedicated to empowering artists of color and telling globally entertaining stories from a culturally specific point of view.
