Astro Burn: I am 100 percent here for the sci-fi retro-inspired bullet hell shoot ‘em up - featuring a cat

Who needs a Thundercat when you can lose your mind to Astro Burn? It’s all about the Steam gaming lifestyle with this title looking pretty epic.

Retro. Wild. Non-stop fun. I am here for it and the demo trailer looks pretty insane. Geek out!

Imagine there was a gorgeous, sci-fi, retro-inspired bullet hell shoot ’em up on the way, a perilously punishing yet oh-so-satisfying shmup that features a CAT as the main character. What a beautiful thought that would be!  In the demo of Astro Burn, you play as Astro — a fearless feline space pilot with her robot companion - AL, returning from a deep-space mission, only to find Earth in ruins, encircled by towering mysterious machines… and not a single human in sight. Using your in-built curiosity and considerable arsenal, you pilot your ship through hordes of enemies, blasting ever onwards to prevent further cat-astrophe!

The developer, Beyond The Pixels’ Haz Dulull is not only a game dev, but has a number of high-profile screenplays under his belt, including his first feature film “The Beyond”  which was released on all digital platforms including Netflix. Astro Burn is set to become an animated TV show within the coming months, so please keep your eyes peeled for more news about that.
