New York rapper Connie Diiamond drops her new single, "Big Dawg," drawing the line between the real ones and everybody still bluffing about money they don’t have. The track is out now via VisionPlay Entertainment/MNRK Music Group.
On “Big Dawg,” Connie Diiamond puts it best herself, saying “Big dog, small pup… yeah it’s all bluff, yeah it’s all fluff.” Produced by Breesh Baby, the track runs on an uptempo, bouncy, electronic pulse as she flexes a new whip and calls out the ones still wearing jewelry that “fogs up” the second somebody looks too close.
Growing up in New York City is how Connie Diiamond fell in love with hip-hop, through Ghostface Killah’s “Cherchez La Ghost.” That love shaped the sound she makes today, “hardcore, aggressive rap” that’s still “fun music.” The same energy shows up in her infamous freestyles, and her most recent one, over Cardi B’s “AH HA,” went viral across social media and drew a direct comment from her, “Ate that upppp,” along with support from Remy Ma.
