Jenevieve & Jordan Ward: Double J’s completely deliver with their ‘Waiting Room’ visualizer

You already know I love all things Jordan Ward but how about pairing him up with the crooner Jenevieve for their super solid ‘Waiting Room’ visualizer? Holy smokes - an absolute chill gem and I can’t look away.

Very chill and fun vibes from start to finish. Lose yourself in the visual genius.

Los Angeles-based artist Jenevieve returns today with her new single Waiting Room featuring Jordan Ward, arriving alongside an official visual. “Waiting Room” builds on the sonic world introduced in CRYSALIS, pairing Jenevieve’s signature breezy delivery with Jordan Ward’s fluid, genre-blurring style. The track continues her exploration of intimacy and self-reflection, offering a natural next step in her evolving artistry.

The accompanying visual, directed by Yanchi, draws inspiration from the reverse-shot style of The Pharcyde’s “Drop” music video, also echoing the themes of Jordan Ward’s recent album BACKWARDS.

The release arrives a day after Jenevieve completed her sold out European leg of The CRYSALIS Tour – Worldwide, where she performed in Paris, London, and Amsterdam. The tour will resume in May with dates across Asia, including stops in Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo, and a return to Manila, where she previously shot the visual for “Haiku.”

The CRYSALIS era has marked a major breakthrough for Jenevieve. The album earned praise from NPR, Billboard, VIBE, and The FADER, while standout single “Head Over Heels” reached #1 at R&B radio, marking her first chart-topping record, and peaked in the Top 5 at Adult R&B Airplay. She has also been nominated for Best New Artist at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, airing live Thursday, March 26 (8/7c on FOX), further underscoring her growing impact. The momentum builds on her earlier success with breakout single “Baby Powder,” which has surpassed 175 million global streams.

Jenevieve is an analog girl at heart—blending old school charm with contemporary flair. The recording artist burst onto the scene in 2020 with her breakout single “Baby Powder,” which has surpassed 175M+ in global consumption and set the stage for her genre-defying sound. Raised in South Florida, her music blends influence from her Cuban and African American roots, creating a style that's both soulful and experimental. Made alongside executive producer and songwriter Elijah Gabor, Jenevieve’s critically acclaimed debut project Divisionand the follow-up EP Rendezvous quickly established her reputation for pairing silky melodies with raw, reflective storytelling. With a sound that’s not quite neo-soul, not quite R&B, but always, undeniably, Jenevieve, her breezy yet introspective new album, CRYSALIS, solidifies her as one of the most exciting voices of her generation.
