Ron E: My overnight fave R&B hitmaker delivers one with a repeat-heavy PRIVATE NIGHTS, VOL. 1 EP

There’s something super signature about Ron E. Every song he puts out - slaps. So it’s no shocker this PRIVATE NIGHTS, VOL. 1 EP is all types of repeat-necessary. My goodness.

The handful of tracks are tough and I can’t hit any skips - every tune absolutely slaps. Completely zone out with this hard-hitting project.

Ron E has been setting the mood all summer, and Private Nights Vol. 1 is the arrival. The Long Island-bred singer, songwriter, and producer releases his new EP out now via Makasound/MNRK Music Group. Five tracks built around one idea: some things are meant to keep private. No captions. No spectators. Penthouse suite, phone on DND, entirely off the grid. This is Ron E at his most irresistible.

Private Nights Vol. 1 opens with a challenge. On "Risk It All," Ron makes his intentions clear from the jump: he's spending, he's showing up, and he wants to know if she's matching that energy. "Do the most, wanna see you risk it all for me." Then the EP slows everything down on "Private," its emotional center. Over a silky Chrishan Dotson production, Ron lays out the case for exclusivity. Bentley with the tints, trip to Turks, just the two of them. "'Private' is about protecting what's real," says Ron E. "Everybody wants to be seen, but some things aren't for everybody. This one's just between me and her, no cameras, no explanations, just us." "Hit Different" makes clear this isn't casual: "This ain't no one night stand / this ain't no just tonight." The EP then opens with the city on "What's The Vibez," featuring Capella Grey, the New York summer anthem built for jet skis and Maldives trips. The collection closes on "DOA," a final, unapologetic flex that leaves no question about where things stand

Behind the project stands Hitmaka, the production force whose work with the likes of Big SeanChris BrownDrakeMeek Mill, and Lil Wayne has earned him multiple Grammy nominations and billions of streams worldwide. His relationship with Ron Egoes deeper than one record. "From day one, the first track we did was a SMASH,"says Hitmaka"Now a year later, we're family and he's one of the best R&B artists and writers in the game today."

Ron E has penned songs for Chris BrownBryson TillerTinkSummer Walker,DDG, and Lady London, establishing himself as one of R&B's most in-demand writers. With his debut album Let Me Explain, he's proven he belongs in the spotlight just as much as he does behind the pen. Private Nights Vol. 1 is the next step.

Not everyone gets the invite. Private Nights Vol. 1 is for the ones who do, available everywhere now.
