SadBoi: The confidence oozes on the ‘Pop Shit’ anthem
You feel the vibes whenever rap crooning baddie SadBoi delivers anthems to the masses. Her ‘Pop Shit’ tune for the masses? Oh yes.
It’s confidence and verbal flexing capturing my entire attention. Lose yourself to this must-stream tune.
Fresh off receiving two 2026 JUNO Award nominations, Toronto’s “rising star” (Pitchfork) SadBoi is back with the unapologetic new single “Pop Shit,” available to stream now on all digital platforms via LVRN Records – STREAM HERE.
Co-produced by GRAMMY Award winner David “Dos Dias” Bishop (Usher, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Summer Walker) alongside KTOE (Megan Thee Stallion, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Chase Shakur) and John Fellner (Elmiene, Jon Vinyl), “Pop Shit” follows the release of “Twisted” and is the latest off SadBoi’s upcoming project, GYAL 6, slated for release this year. The music continues to bring the vibes for girls who are a little messy, rebellious, and risky – even if only in their imagination. It’s music for the lover girls who never seem to get love right, but know how to make every night feel like it could fix everything, even if just temporarily. Musically, the project is genre-blurring, from confident rap to high-energy anthems. At its core GYAL 6 is where music, culture, and community intersect. A space to feel seen, inspired, and connected.
Fresh off supporting Rico Nasty’s LETHAL North American Tour, SadBoi has firmly established her signature genre-blending style, fusing elements of garage, house, and Caribbean music like dancehall and reggaeton into her own music. By collaborating with artists like Smiley, Cash Cobain, Blanco, DJ SAZE, Cleotrapa, and Duquesa, SadBoi has positioned herself at the intersection of hip-hop, global pop, electronic, and UK rap – reinforcing her international presence. Her latest JUNO Award-nominated project, DRY CRY, earned critical acclaim with Pitchfork declaring, “The album feels like a declaration of incoming supremacy from SadBoi—not quite a coming-out, but a confirmation of her rising star.”
