Big Yavo: It's all types of 'Friday' movie vibes with the 'Big Worm' music video

There’s no holding back with Big Yavo and the way the Alabama rap heavyweight comes through on the rap scene. Fresh from putting out his Proof album to the masses at the end of summer, it’s only right he keeps the attention on the project with a new ‘Big Worm’ music video.

The song goes hard but getting the cinematic appeal too? Tough. Peep the details and keep scrolling to see Big Yavo in his rap game bag.

Birmingham, Alabama native, Big Yavo just released an electrifying new music video for his track “Big Worm” that pays homage to the iconic movie "Friday." In the video the multi-talented rapper known for pushing boundaries of creativity, captivates fans with his unique blend of humor, storytelling, and unapologetic self-expression. In the visual he embraces a whole new persona, bringing to life the beloved character “Big Worm”. The track doesn't hold back either – Yavo lays down bold and unfiltered lyrics, confidently talking his talk and showcasing his lyrical prowess.

“Big Worm” originally appeared on the rising rapper’s recent mixtape, PROOF –a sprawling 15-track opus that offers an up-close look into the MC’s hard-charging headspace, filtered through inventive hooks, loops, and booming beats. It’s a calling card from an artist who gives everything he has to his music — channeling his life experiences into hip-hop missives. The project received support from XXL, The FADER, HipHopDX, and more as well as charted Top 10 on Apple Music’s Hip-Hop chart. Listen to Proof HERE via GoodTalk/Geffen Records.

Proof drops after the release of Yavo’s “Facts,” a high-energy track bursting with decadence and lyricism. The new release is just the latest in a prolific run from the rapper who dropped his mixtape, The Largest, last year with The FADER dubbing it a “tour de force, with wall-to-wall bops.” Throughout the 22 tracks the rapper on the rise showcases his signature energy and uncut authenticity while standing toe-to-toe with collaborators like Rylo Rodriguez, TLE Cinco, Big Petty,  Bankroll Freddie, and more.

At 24, the young rapper has shown a poise, savvy and propulsiveness in his ascent that simply can’t be taught. In 2021 he released his crunk track, “Rich" which received support from DaBaby, Quavo, and countless Tik Tok influencers (Addison Rae, Charli D'Amelio, Noah Beck, and more). The next year, he shared “Him,” which led to a viral TikTok trend and "creates" from the likes of 2 Chainz, Justin Bieber, Odell Beckham Jr, the NFL, and others. In addition to two-viral records, Yavo also reached No. 1 on  Billboard’s Heatseekers, and Top 10 Apple Music’s Hip-Hop/Rap charts for his album titled Like Yay. This year Yavo also hit the road as a supporting act on BigXthaPlug’s US tour.

With Proof, Yavo's hip-hop takeover of the South continues in full force with his impact and influence extending well beyond his hometown.
