You really have to love all the originality coming courtesy of hip-hop artist Conway the Machine. The rhymes are always tough but getting cinematic drops like this ‘Diggwutumsayn!’ music video? Holy smokes.
Impressive and also a teaser for a bigger rollout brewing? Oh yes. Peep the deets.
Conway The Machine's cinematic lyricism and forceful delivery have established as one of his generations most respected emcees. The Buffalo-born bruiser plots his next move, announcing OTIS, his next album. His first album since last year's You Can't Kill God With Bullets, OTIS is a monumental album for the Drumwork Music Group CEO, combining fly wordplay with personal stories over beats from collaborators both new and familiar, including Daringer, Conductor Williams, and more. The album welcomes a very diverse set of guests, including East Coast vets like Kool G Rap and the Wu-Tang trio Ghostface Killah, Method Man, and Raekwon, underground names like Flee Lord and Inkredible NES, and most surprisingly, Robby Takac, of the Buffalo-originating hitmaking rock group Goo Goo Dolls. Directly following up the DJ Whoo Kid-hosted mixtape I Heard You Paint Houses, OTIS, short for "Often Times I Suffer," arrives on November 20th via Drumwork Music Group.
Today, Conway shares "Diggwutumsayn!," the first single from the upcoming album. Produced by Daringer, "Diggwutumsayn!" is a ferocious lyrical exercise, as Conway rocks a double-time flow over horror movie strings and gently plucked acoustic guitars. Over his furious verse, Conway name drops 4Batz and Kenan Thompson, boasts about his sold out shows in South America, and makes very clear that he believes nobody in the game rhymes on his level: "Took that $60,000 from Shady Records and turned that into $8 million," he asserts. In the video, directed by Marques Mosley, Conway rocks a designer suit as he stalks a local motel, working hard to keep his hands clean after a job well done.
Last year, Conway blessed the holiday season with his acclaimed album You Can't Kill God With Bullets. With guest spots from G Herbo, Roc Marciano and more, and production from heavy-hitters that range from regular collaborators like The Alchemist, Conductor Williams, Daringer, and Apollo Brown to further afield sound architects like Timbaland and AraabMuzik, the album earned coverage from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, XXL, Billboard, and many others. Most recently, Conway dropped I Heard You Paint Houses, a series of takes on beats made famous by other artists, including Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Future, Jodeci, and many others.
OTIS will follow in the footsteps of acclaimed solo works like 2024's Slant Face Killah, 2023's Won't He Do It, 2022's God Don't Make Mistakes, and 2021's La Maquina. Always keeping busy, the rapper released two albums by his Drumwork signee Jae Skeese in 2024 and 2025, toured Europe during Summer 2025, and in the fall, he performed a show celebrating the 10th Anniversary of his album Reject 2 in New York City.
A consummate hustler and survivalist, Conway overcame a rough past–including surviving multiple gunshot wounds to his head and neck–to become one of rap's most respected lyricists. Now the leader of his own Drumwork Music Group, Conway seeks to reminds the rap game that he is one of the modern greats.
