DaBaby: The North Carolina rap superstar comes up clutch for baddies worldwide in the ‘Pop Dat Thang’ music video

It’s safe to say baddie season is fully on deck especially when you have rap star DaBaby delivering insane visuals like his new ‘Pop Dat Thang’ music video - my goodness.

It’s jaw-dropping and one of the first few tracks from his BE MORE GRATEFUL studio effort. Geek out.

Multi-platinum global superstar DABABY returns with the official music video for “POP DAT THANG,” the breakout single from his latest album BE MORE GRATEFUL. The new visual arrives as momentum around the record continues to grow across radio, streaming platforms, and the Billboard charts.

Directed by DABABY and Nick Mays, the “POP DAT THANG” video opens with the rapper seated at a piano, surrounded by hundreds of women dancing along to the track’s infectious beat. The visual quickly cuts to a massive party in a parking garage, where DABABY performs as the energy builds around him. With dancers, flashing lights, and a crowd fully locked into the moment, including two standout plus-sized performers commanding the floor, the clip captures the carefree, club-ready spirit that has helped the song resonate with fans.

The track continues to gain traction on the charts. “POP DAT THANG” currently sits at No. 59 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking DABABY’s 54th career entry on the chart. The song also rises to No. 21 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, No. 12 on Rap Airplay, and No. 27 on Rhythmic Airplay, while landing at No. 14 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and No. 6 on Hot Rap Songs, further reinforcing the track's momentum.

The video release also arrives as DABABY expands his ‘BE MORE GRATEFUL’ Tour, adding several new stops following strong fan demand. Newly announced dates include Little Rock, AR (4/2), Baltimore, MD (4/10), Rochester, NY (4/16), Syracuse, NY (4/17), and Philadelphia, PA (4/18). Additionally, the Denver show has been upgraded to Summit Music Hall. The tour is designed to give fans a more intimate and accessible live experience while bringing the music from BE MORE GRATEFUL directly to audiences across the country.

The 23-track project showcases DABABY balancing his signature high-energy records with more reflective moments centered on family, growth, and perspective. The album also features collaborations with Hunxho, Coi Leray, and his daughter Twin, alongside fan-favorite tracks including “DON JULIO LEMONADE,” “OUT YA BUSINESS,” “LETTER TO MY YN,” “DON’T INSULT ME,” and “PBJT.”

An 8-time GRAMMY nominee with more than 38 billion global streams, DABABY continues to prove himself as one of hip-hop’s most consistent chart forces.
