Iman Nunez: The heartfelt cuffing season vibes go strong in the ‘want ur luv’ music video

Who says you have to wait for summer love season to embrace those cuffing vibes? It’s all about the 143 themes with rap artist Iman Nunez coming through with his ‘want ur luv’ music video.

Always lyrical and able to body beats but how about coming through with a Valentine’s Day-themed gem like this? Say less.

Yonkers emcee Iman Nunez turns up the heat this winter with the release of his Valentine’s Day ready single and official music video, “Want Ur Luv.” Produced by Dizzy Banko, the track explores emotional dependence, reassurance, and the lingering fear of abandonment that often exists within close relationships.

The song opens with raw vulnerability as Iman lays his emotions bare, singing, “I just want your love, Don’t need nothing else, Hold me in your arms, Can’t be by myself.” The opening lines immediately establish the emotional foundation of the record, highlighting the need for comfort, closeness, and security.

As the record progresses, Nunez leans further into themes of separation anxiety and longing, expressing, “Now don’t you leave me baby… Love when you’re around, so best believe that I hate when you leave.” The lyrics capture the push and pull between intimacy and insecurity that defines the song’s emotional core.

Directed by Dre Hartwell alongside Iman Nunez, the official video visually brings these themes to life. Scenes of shared intimacy, from browsing books together to dancing to vinyl records, paint a tender portrait of love rooted in presence and emotional connection rather than spectacle.

“Want Ur Luv” serves as the leading single from Iman’s upcoming EP When Will U Call? and marks a continued shift toward an R&B influenced sound. The record reinforces the idea that love is not always about romance alone, but about companionship and the fear of being alone.

Iman continues to build on his momentum following a standout appearance on BET’s 106 & Park during the 2025 BET Awards Week, as well as the release of his well received collaboration with Abby Jasmine, “You and Me.” With each release, he continues to evolve artistically while staying rooted in authenticity.
