Jaz Karis: The ‘Too Soon’ lyric video completely warms up your pre-summer love needs
It’s not quite summer love season but how about getting into the mood? Turns out crooner Jaz Karis has you more than covered courtesy of her new ‘Too Soon’ anthem.
Forget trying to memorize the lyrics, how about the words coming your way courtesy of an official lyric video? Say less.
London-based songstress Jaz Karis releases “Too Soon,” her first new single of the year, today. On the sultry track, Jaz sings, “I’m sorry that I met you too soon / Honey I’m sorry that there’s not enough room / Sorry I won’t ever get to say that ‘I do’ / I’ve been misty eyed since I’ve been falling for you.”
“‘Too Soon’ embodies the phrase ‘right person, wrong timing,’” Jaz says. “I came to the studio straight from the airport, knowing that it was most probably one of the last times I’d see the person & even though I knew it was coming, I was still at quite a loss. I think it’s been one of the easiest songs I’ve written, as it felt like I was just venting. We wanted not to overproduce the song so it didn’t take away from the emotions that ran through each line - so an acoustic guitar and strings were the perfect accompaniment to my feelings.”
Jaz released her debut album, SAFE FLIGHT, in September 2024 to much critical acclaim, amassing 27M streams globally. Following two sold-out shows in LA and London, Jaz commenced her Safe Flight Tour in five more cities around the world this past February (Paris, Manchester, Birmingham, Amsterdam, and NYC), selling out each stop.
Jaz was nominated as Best R&B/Soul Artist at the 2025 and 2024 MOBO Awards and was named one of Tidal’s Artists to Watch 2025.
