Loe Shimmy: The ‘Tubi Movie’ music video is a salute to all the summer baddies

When it comes to anthems, it’s clear rap crooner Loe Shimmy always delivers. So it’s no shocker his ‘Tubi Movie’ hits more than just the spot with a fire visual.

Pure energy and pure baddies on display. Completely geek out.

Fresh off his selection to XXL's coveted 2025 Freshman Class, Florida rap star Loe Shimmy has just announced that his highly anticipated new album Rockstar Junkie will be out on July 11th. The announcement is accompanied by the release of new single "Tubi Movie" — out now along with a music video. Fueled by sleek 808s and frosty synths, "Tubi Movie" finds Loe Shimmy dropping candid reflections on his newfound star status ("Ain't want no fame, oh no/But now they want a picture, public figure, way more richer") across the track's persistent beat. In addition to his ongoing run opening for Lil Baby on his headlining WHAM Tour along with Rob49 and PLUTO, the news also follows "Kill The Scene", "Dirty Money", "Juice Wrld", and "Off My Mind", the latter two of which were accompanied by videos directed by AWGE affiliate Hidji World, and arrives on the heels of recent releases "Turnt Me Evil" and "Zuper Sonic" as well as a collaboration with Trippie Redd on “Coco Chanel”. Rockstar Junkie serves as the long-awaited follow-up to his breakout album Nardy World, released late last year, which featured the track “For Me” with Brent Faiyaz. "For Me" marked Loe Shimmy’s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, debuting and peaking at #78. He also recently wrapped up his debut headlining run, the sold-out Nardy World Tour, which took him to seven cities nationwide.

Since dropping Z end in 2022, which was led by the Drake-approved track “Tina”, Loe Shimmy has been on a rapid ascent, collaborating with Florida mainstays like Kodak Black (“Get Away”) and Luh Tyler (“Santa” & “A Day In The NOYA”). After a performance at Rolling Loud, collaborations with artists like Veeze (“Dirty Soda Junkie”), as well as the release of his breakthrough Billboard-charting project Zombieland 2 and its accompanying deluxe version, Loe Shimmy is now making a name for himself as one of Florida’s most noteworthy new talents. He also recently toured with Sexyy Red on her Sexyy Red 4 President Tour and Rob49 and Skilla Baby on their Vultures Eat The Most Tour last summer. Continuing his hot streak with each release by emphasizing his guttural cadence and knack for reflective storytelling, he has his eyes set on solidifying himself as an essential artist coming out of his home state's highly competitive rap scene. His forthcoming album Rockstar Junkie is a clear-cut testament to his growing stature and distinct talents that have set him apart from the rest of the Florida pack: a unique ability to flex while also remaining mindful of the struggles he had to overcome to get to this point.
