Luhh Dyl: It’s heartfelt raps and cross-country treks in the ‘Rollin With Me’ music video
There’s no holding back when it comes to hip-hop artist Luhh Dyl. The music always slaps but getting the visuals to anthems like his ‘Rollin With Me’ tune? Tough.
It’s all eyes on Luhh as he tells life stories and turns up in various places around the globe. Tap in.
Making waves with his unique take on his hometown sound, Detroit Luhh Dyl is a rapper's rapper. Today, the young artist releases the new single "Rollin With Me," along with its music video. An introspective and propulsive anthem, "Rollin With Me" connects Luhh Dyl with Detroit sound architect Helluva, known for his production on some of the city's biggest hits in recent years (including Tee Grizzly's "First Day Out" and Big Sean's "Friday Night Cypher"). The decorated producer meets Dyl in his own sonic world, layering acoustic guitars and ethereal vocal samples over his his usual speaker-knocking percussion. The young artist enters a flow state, spitting double-time between Helluva's riffs and snare hits, as he mixes in youthful flexes with beyond-his-age bars about caring for his niece while his brother is overseas in the Marines. In the video, Dyl travels to Miami, where the introverted artist makes a rare appearance at the club, shows off his stepback jumper, and performs for adoring fans.
Recently introduced as a freestyle on Off The Ramp, Dyl's "Put It On Somebody" finds the young rapper delivering lightning-quick bars over a contemplative instrumental, complete with spindly guitars and skittering hi-hats. "Put It On Somebody" indulges Dyl's irreverent side, as he ignores his momma's advice about "hanging with thugs" and recklessly driving foreign cars. The Off The Ramp video showcases Dyl's effortlessly fly fashion sense, as he rocks ski goggles and two pairs of jeans, acting out his lyrics with aplomb.
Dyl's release follows January's drop of "Still Having Problems," a collaboration with NoCap. Earlier in the year, Complex named the young rising star one of the Rappers To Watch in 2026.
Luhh Dyl is working hard on the follow-up to Hear My Cry, his October 2025 album, anointed by Pitchfork as one of the Best Rap Albums of 2025. Avoiding the rattling bass and dramatic keyboard arpeggios that have become Detroit's sonic hallmark, the young rapper develops his own sound on the new album, working with producers like A-Lau, 4head, TurnMeUpMarr, and Audiojacc, weaving in unexpected samples, including samples of songs by artists like John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Kid Cudi, and Pinegrove, and gentle acoustic guitars to mirror his contemplative rhymes.
A resilient and redemptive album, Hear My Cry is home to Luhh Dyl's acclaimed singles, like the Kid Cudi flip "Nite N Day" ft. Flint's Babyfxce E and Detroit's 1Up Tee the Pinegrove-sampling "Holdin Back," "Wish You Could," a contemplative anthem that earned acclaim from Clash Magazine, "Wouldn't Believe," his collaboration with Lil Tony Official which became Dyl's first track to cross 1 million views, and was named one of the Best Rap Songs of May 2025 by The FADER.
Hear My Cry was Dyl's second full-length of 2025, following January's Intrude, which has generated over 35 million streams. The album featured guest appearance from Detroit heroes like Tee Grizzley, Veeze, and Sada Baby, and national names like Loe Shimmy. Both Hear My Cry and Intrude are available on all platforms via 300 Ent.
Only just tapping into his immense potential, Luhh Dyl is ready to make a name for himself. With much more music to come, he positions himself as an artistic force that can't be ignored.
