Rising UK R&B star Nippa has officially announced his long-awaited new EP, Hope She Hears This, set for release on May 9, 2025. After sparking anticipation through weeks of teasers across his socials, the project marks a major moment in what has already been a standout start to the year. From selling out his first-ever headline show at London’s OMEARA, earning his second MOBO Award nomination for Best R&B/Soul Act (2025) and being recognized as one of Billboard’s “2025 R&B Artists to Watch”, Nippa continues to cement his status as one of the UK’s most exciting new voices.
The announcement arrives alongside latest single, "Unfair” - the second glimpse of his forthcoming project, following the February release of “Regular Girl”. Remaining faithful to his signature sound while continuously unveiling new facets of his artistry, Nippa’s buttery vocals and infectious melodies glide effortlessly over sleek production, coming together seamlessly to deliver yet another vibe-driven anthem.
Having spent the past twelve months carefully honing his craft, refining his songwriting and the stories he’s ready to tell, Hope she Hears This marks a new era for Nippa. The result is a record that promises to be one of his best yet. With a new-found confidence within himself and an abundance of artistic dynamism, delivering a maturer sound, both vocally and sonically, is a process he hasn’t taken lightly. The EP shows a clear evolution in sound and narrative, this time exploring Nippa’s journey of healing and the emotional process of moving on from someone who once held great significance in his life. From start to finish, Hope She Hears This is a soulful offering - a perfect soundtrack for late-night drives through the city. Beautifully weaving together his influences and environment in a way that reflects a fierce commitment to authenticity, the project channels the nostalgia of R&B’s golden era yet still feels refreshingly new..
ABOUT NIPPA
Nippa’s 2024 release "INDUSTREETS" highlighted his dedication to pushing the boundaries of modern R&B. Featuring fan-favorite Larry June collaboration “Sugar” and On The Block debut with “Empire Freestyle”, the project explored the realities of life as an artist navigating the music industry and street culture. What followed were the releases of song-of-the-summer contenders “Take Me” featuring Odeal and “FNF”, further solidifying his presence in the scene and amassing 35M+ all-time streams to date.
Nippa has gone from strength to strength since his breakout single “Situation” in 2021, cultivating a brand new sound that stands out for it’s cross-genre appeal - R&B in sound, rap-adjacent in lyrical content. Naturally, it has seen him quickly win over audiences worldwide and build relationships in all the right places. He’s been in the studio with R&B and Hip-Hop greats, supported Bryson Tiller and Jack Harlowon their UK and European tours, and released a string of successive releases including “The One” and “Reverse”. He’s steadily making a name for himself beyond the music, having fronted campaigns with Nike, Corteiz and Arte Antwerp, and collaborated with Nigerian designer Olaolu Slawn, marrying art with music in a way that brings his style to life.
Growing up on a musical diet of R&B, Motown and reggae, paired with a tight-knit community in Tottenham, has formed the basis of his musical identity. Early exposure to the likes of Skepta, Wretch 32 and Headie One proved to him that he too could achieve a successful career, all by being unapologetically himself. Early freestyles with friends and sister honed his lyrical ability, however it wasn't until 2019 that Nippa stepped into the studio for the very first time and would later walk out with his debut single. The success he’s enjoyed thus far is a simple combination of the right people, places, and a deep love of music. Not easily defined but undeniably authentic, Nippa is a talent impossible to ignore.
