Paris Alexa: It’s grown and sexy vibes on display in the HOLD THE LIGHT music video

Summer love season might be long gone but how about preparing for cuffing goals? It’s an entire vibe coming courtesy of crooner Paris Alexa as she delivers both a fire single and music video with her ‘HOLD THE LIGHT’ anthem.

Sizzle and cinematic teasing in this new release? Repeat-worthy R&B. Fully tap in.

Seattle-based R&B/soul artist Paris Alexa releases her new single “HOLD THE LIGHT” and its accompanying music video today. Written by Paris and produced by RJ Parker, the feel-good track celebrates the joy of falling in love and follows “Honeymoon” as the latest offering from her forthcoming EP, Love & Other Lessons.

Inspired by the energy of Whitney Houston’s “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay,” “HOLD THE LIGHT” channels the exhilaration of new love into a record made to move to. Paris captures the intimacy of sunlit mornings spent tangled in sheets and the desire to make those moments last. “Light can’t be held / It can only be felt,” she sings, embracing the feeling even as she recognizes that it cannot be contained.

“There’s this misconception that happy music is corny, and so we really set out to prove that wrong with ‘HOLD THE LIGHT,’” says Paris Alexa. “I really just wanted to make people move. I love making people dance, and that’s always going to be an underlying motivation for all my music.”

“HOLD THE LIGHT” reveals another side of the love story taking shape across Love & Other Lessons. Where “Honeymoon” considers the intention and commitment that sustain a relationship, the new single celebrates the rush of its beginning. Across the forthcoming EP, Paris pairs sultry R&B with candid reflections on love, self-discovery, and her growth into womanhood.
