College Football 26 + Madden 26: EA Sports delivers greatness with the best football games on the market

One thing I am coming to realize more and more these days? Negatively spreads super fast but greatness always overcomes. The motivation for such a statement to essentially salute the awesomeness of EA Sports College Football 26 and Madden 26? How about the fact they’re without doubt the best football video games on the market - period.

EA Sports delivers with College Football 26 and Madden 26

Whether busy all day or hopping on the stationary bike for an hour workout, I always, always, always make time for Madden 26. I have played the franchise drops for over a decade - nearly two with me never skipping any release and the latest innovations to the brand? My goodness.

Add in the fact College Football launched last year and completely ignited new and diehard college football-loving Attackers around the globe to become happily obsessed with an adrenaline-fueled title.

Madden 26.

College Football 26.

Both are absolute must-own and do proper justice for both the brand and the teams EA Sports is representing. But my words aside - how about deciding for yourself? Take a look at these deep dives into the gameplay and lose your mind to the quality, features and everything in-between.

As Cyrus - your go-to over here on all things Attack The Culture-related, I am one Attacker, himself, who loves the concept of creativity and luring you in with both quality content and unique ways to get you pumped. So seeing EA Sports making sure to deliver impressive trailers and marketing to properly hype up the titles? Beyond fire.

A super cool feature I am most excited to crack into? How about this partnership between Nike and the NFL resulting in Rivalries. Geek out.

First up, the Nike Rivalries program is making its debut in Madden NFL 26. Nike is partnering with NFL teams to celebrate football’s most storied rivalries, bringing a competitive and authentic sense of community pride to the game.

Over the  next four years, Nike will highlight two divisions and outfit their teams with custom uniforms that represent their cities. This year, the AFC East and NFC West are in the spotlight, giving fans and players the chance to suit up in these new uniforms… and maybe exchange some friendly trash talk along the way.

Gameplay

  • Cover 2 Tampa - The middle defender now gets deeper, maintaining better leverage position against deep threats, especially vs. 3x1 formations.

  • Cover 2 Hard Flats - Addressed an issue with Hard Flats where defenders were dropping too deep and too far inside before reacting to flat routes. Defenders now drop more accurately with their zone responsibilities, improving coverage consistency in the shallow flats.

  • Cover 3 Match: Logic improvements for Defenders when reacting to Slot WRs attempting to outleverage the defense on deep routes. This includes Buzz Mable and Zone Blitz 3 playcalls

  • Cover 6 & Cover 4 Palms - Fixed an issue where Outside Quarters CBs in Cover 6 and Cover 4 Palms were oftentimes losing the press giving up easy touchdowns. We adjusted the CBs alignment so they will no longer attempt to press the WR.

  • Zone coverage defenders now drop back quicker when shading coverage ‘overtop’.

  • Fixed a post play animation defect where a defender would do “read steps” when standing in place after the whistle.

  • Addressed a visual issue around the previous play graphic obscuring the offensive play call formation.

We’ve also added a completely customized playbook in partnership with Kurt Benkert called “Benkert’s Dimes” - you can find it in Play Now when selecting your playbook. Stay tuned to EAMaddenNFL on X to learn more on what we’re doing with this playbook!

Ample reasons to geek out over what EA Sports’ Madden and College Football are serving up both this 2026 season along with the future. The loyalty and gaming goals continue onward!

Both EA Sports’ Madden 26 and College Football 26 are available for purchase.
