It feels like forever since getting audio fire from Big L but getting this chill ‘So Groovy’ anthem? My goodness. The vibes are right-right. Zone in and out.
Entering his 20s with a head of steam, Luh Tyler is ready to evolve from rap prodigy to bonafide mainstream superstar. The Tallahassee native comes through with "So Groovy," his slinky new single, which proves that the young rapper has no intentions to slow his roll. Produced by Yakree, "So Groovy" finds tyler bringing down the tempo, as he slides atop syncopated percussion, bluesy piano chords, and chiming vibraphones. Mr, Skii works a deliberate flow, organizing his slurred flexes into a cadence that fits neatly between the kicks, allowing each party-positive flex to marinate: "I need that guala, it's a problem, addicted to cash/In the party, bottle poppin', smokin' on that gas," he intones.
"So Groovy" continues Luh Tyler's hot start to 2026, following the Valentine's Day anthem "My Boo" and the effortlessly funky "Kobe." Most recently, Tyler laid down a scintillating guest verse on "YOU AIN'T GOTTA LIE," a BNYX-produced highlight from Denzel Curry's new collective project, Strictly 4 The Scythe. Born and raised in Tallahassee, FL, Luh Tyler took the rap game by storm as a teenager, stunning tastemakers and fans with his slippery flows and raspy-voiced witticisms. The album welcomed guests like Lil Uzi Vert, Loe Shimmy, and BabyTron, generating over 100 million cross-platform streams, and cementing his spot on XXL's 2023 Freshman List. Having landed among the 2023 XXL Freshman Class and been named to Billboard's “21 Under 21” list, 2024 saw the arrival of Tyler’s Atlantic Records debut album, Mr. Skii, highlighted by such singles as “Mr. Skii,” “2 Slippery (Feat. BossMan Dlow),” “TH2DH,” and “Young N****a,” alongside features from Kodak Black, BLP Kosher, Veeze, and Trapland Pat. Tyler marked the album’s arrival with The Mr. Skii Tour – his biggest North American headline tour to date – as well as a special guest run on A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s epic Better Off Alone Tour that included performances at Los Angeles, CA’s Kia Forum, Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and New York City’s world-famous Madison Square Garden.
